Full Membership Of The Association Shall Be open to lawyers of not less than eight years post-call standing who have undertaken accredited mediation skills training from institutions recognized by Attorney-Mediators Association and or Nigerian court-annexed ADR Centres.
The Management Committee may, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, grant full membership of the Association to an Attorney-Mediator who has over three years’experience as a member of the Neutral Panel of are cognized ADR Institution but less than eight years standing as a legal practitioner.
Associate membership shall be open to lawyers of not more than seven years post-call experience who have undertaken accredited mediation skills training from institutions recognized by Attorney-Mediators Association and or Nigerian court-annexed ADRCentres.
To qualify for registration into any of the aforementioned membership categories, an applicant shall show evidence of active mediation practice either as mediator or mediation advocate in matters pending before a competent court of law. Applicants shall also undertake to participate in any grievance or feedback procedures adopted by the Attorney –Mediators Association (ATMA) and to observe all ethical standards adopted by the Association.
